Jeff Konin, PhD

Jeff Konin, PhD, PT, ATC, FACSM, FNATA; Currently at Florida International University – Miami, FL since 2019, as a Clinical Professor, Department of Athletic Training and Director, Doctoral Athletic Training Education Program. He has served in both adjunct and administrative positions at numerous institutions. He has published numerous research articles in both Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Journals. Dr. Konin is a member of various societies and the recipient of countless honors and awards, including induction in to the NATA Hall of Fame this June..

Roberta H. Anding

Roberta H. Anding, M.S., R.D./L.D., C.D.E., C.S.S.D.; Nutrition, Health Sciences

Anding received her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics in 1977 and her Master’s in Nutrition from Louisiana State University in 1980. She is currently a licensed dietitian in the state of Texas, a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a Certified Diabetes Educator, and a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. Roberta also holds a certificate in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  In 2015, she was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Ms. Anding has been honored with the SCAN (Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition Dietetic Practice group) with SCAN Achievement Award in 2011. Roberta received the Texas Distinguished Dietitian Award in 2008, the Texas Dietetic Association Media Award in 2006, the Houston Area Dietetic Association Media Award in 2004 and 2006, and the Houston Area Dietetic Association Award for the Dietetic Internship Educator of the Year in 2001 Prior to focusing on dietetic education, Roberta was honored with the John P. McGovern Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award while at the University of Texas- Houston School of Nursing.

Larry Cooper

Larry Cooper, MS, LAT, ATC, Harrison, PA; 1991-2018 Head Athletic Trainer, Penn-Trafford High School, Development of Student Athletic Trainer program along with a Sports Medicine Course. Larry has been a recognized member in leadership of NATA District 2 and has spoken for numerous programs regionally and nationally.  He is a long standing member and chair of the NATA Secondary School Committee providing leadership and innovation.  In June, he will be inducted into the 2020 NATA Hall of Fame.

David Csillan

David Csillan, MS, LAT, ATC, earned his his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with an Athletic Training emphasis from Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey). He received his Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from Old Dominion University.

 

David has been serving as the athletic trainer at Ewing High School in Ewing, New Jersey since 1991. Additionally, he provides medical services to the TCS New York City Marathon and Special Olympics New Jersey. He co-chaired the NATA Inter-Association Task Force on Preseason Heat Acclimatization Guidelines for Secondary School Athletics and spearheaded New Jersey being the first state to adopt those guidelines. He has presented on this topic through many national television, radio and newspaper media outlets. In 2018, David coordinated the development and mandate of several New Jersey State policies focused on decreasing catastrophic athletic injuries in their secondary schools. Over the years, he co-authored several NATA position and consensus statements pertaining to exertional heat injuries and the prevention of sudden death in athletics. David was inducted into the following Halls of Fame: National Athletic Trainers’ Association. New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey, and Ewing High School Athletics.

John Kiel

John Kiel, DO, MPH, UF Health, Jacksonville. Dr Kiel serves as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Assistant Professor for Sports Medicine for UF Health in Jacksonville.  He holds certifications with the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) since Dec 2018 and

Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine (CAQSM) Sept. 2019.  Dr. Kiel has authored many publications and lectures extensively. He is a member of the Florida Army National Guard and he volunteers as Team Physician for Terry Parker High School, Jacksonville, FL.

Jeremy Rush

Jeremy Rush, MD, Nemours Children’s Specialty Care. Dr. Rush joined Nemours Children’s Specialty Care the summer of 2019, serving as Sports Medicine Program Director. A graduate of the University of Virginia College of Medicine and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Rush has military experience and served as well at Brooke Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

Ryan Roach

Ryan Roach, MD, UF Health, Gainesville. Dr. Roach currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Florida. A graduate of Purchase College, State University of New York, received his Masters and MD at Tulane University.  He completed his Residency in Orthopedics at NYU and a Sports Medicine / Arthroscopy Fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL.

 

Kevin Farmer

Kevin Farmer, MD, UF Health Gainesville: Since 2009, Dr Farmer has served at UF Health Gainesville in numerous roles as professor of Orthopedics and Head Team Orthopedist for the University of Florida Gator athletic programs.  He is a member of numerous societies and has been recognized by many for his numerous accomplishments.  Dr. Farmer has been the author of peer reviewed, published articles and research in orthopedics. He is recognized as a national leader in sports medicine.

 

Micahel Milligan, MD

Michael Milligan, MD, Andrews Institute serves as the Director of External Development and Medical Director for Sports Medicine Outreach with the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, FL.  Dr. Milligan is the current Vice-President of FASMed and represents the western region of the Florida panhandle. He previously served as Team Physician for both UNLV and Northwestern Universities.  Dr. Milligan is a graduate of Auburn University and received his MD from the University of Las Vegas.
